התעוררתי אתמול עדיין בהיי משבוע האופנה גינדי תל אביב(המשך חוויותיי בפוסט הבא) ועוד בכלל לא דמיינתי את "רעידת האדמה" ההתרגשותית שעתידה לבוא! אני כותבת את המילים האלו ועדיין פועם לי הלב בחוזק-על מהתערוכה המגה-מושלמת: כריסטובל בלנסיאגה - אוסף אופנה פרטי - כאן אצלנו במוזיאון תל אביב!התערוכה תנעל ב-28.4.13 ואחרי שתקראו את הפוסט, לא משנה מה תכננתם רוצו לשם :) התערוכה שהגיעה אלינו ממוזיאון גליירה בפריז משלבת פריטים מן האוסף הפרטי של בלנסיאגה עצמו (פריטי אובר-וינטג' שהוא אסף להשראה) עם עיצובים שלו-עצמו ומציגה את ההקשרים התרבותיים וההסטוריים ביניהם. היא ממחישה את את תשוקתו של המעצב הדגול הזה לתרבות הספרדית ממנה בא ואת הגאונות שלו כמעצב אופנה! בלנסיאגה הוא באמת "האלוהים" של האופנה, ומשמש השראה לאינספור מעצבים בעולם מאז מותו ב-1972.
I woke up yesterday still in a high from Gindi TLV Fashion Week (more in the upcoming post) I didn't imagine the level of excitement I was about to experience! I was invited to a press tour for the launch of the unbelievable exhibit in Tel Aviv Museum of Art: CRISTÓBAL BALENCIAGA, collector of fashions, it will show until April 28th. The exhibit that came to Tel Aviv from museum Galliera in Paris reveals items from Balenciaga's private archive he collected for inspiration as well as his own designs with references to their cultural and historical contexts. It demonstrates his passion for his spanish culture and his brilliancei as a fashion designer! Balenciaga without a doubt is the "Fashion God" and has been an inspiration to so many designers around the world since he passed away in 1972.

דיאנה ורילנדחיברה אומנות ואופנה כשהתערוכה הראשונה שאצרה במטרופוליטן היתה על בלנסיאגה! והנה פה עכשיו אצלנו גם תערוכה של המעצב הכביר הזה! כסטודנטית לעיצוב אופנה ב-FITבניו יורק מאוד הושפעתי וחקרתי רבות על בלנסיאגה ולראות את יצירותיו פה בארץ זה אושר ענק - אבל גם מי שלא באובססיה כמוני יהנה מהתערוכה! היא רק משאירה טעם לעוד וכך גם אמר אוליווייה סייאר שהוא מקווה שזה רק תחילת הדרך בשיתוף הפעולה בינם לבין מוזיאון תל-אביב! אמן!!
Diana Vreeland combined fashion and art when the first exhibit she created as the curator in the Metropolitan museum was of Balenciaga designs! And now we in Israel have a beautiful exhibit of this greater than life designer! As a Fashion Design student in FIT I researched a lot about Balenciaga so seeing his designs here in TLV is endless happiness - But also if you are not obsessed as I am with him and fashion you will enjoy this show! This exhibition definitely leaves taste for more and as Olivier Saillard said, he hopes this is only the beginning of collaborations with Tel Aviv Museum of Art! Amen!!

משמאל הכובע המדהים שבלנסיאגהעיצב ב-1967 בהשראת דייגים ודג הצלופח ומימין מקולקצית אביב-קיץ 2008 של ניקולא גסקייהלבית בלנסיאגה. כמו שאמרתי בפינה בפאשן.נט שהקדשתי את כל כולה לבלנסיאגה ולניקולא -שחיבר והשתמש בצורה מהפנטת עם מורשתו של בלנסיאגה וידע לתת את השפה היחודית החדשנית והעתידנית שלו. מאוד עצוב לי שניקולא עוזב את הבית ובמקומו נכנס אלכסנדר וונג - המעצב הניו יורקי שכן הוא מאוד אדג'י וגם מאוד מסחרי. אך לא בטוחה שוונג יצליח לייצר דיקדוק אומנותי כמו שייצר ניקולא וכמו שבלנסיאגה הביא לעולם - מה שכן, אני בטוחה שגם שבוע האופנה גינדי וגם התערוכה המשובחת הזאת מעלים אותנו גבוה בסולם האופנה העולמי - ואנחנו פה צריכים ל"טפס" ולחגוג על כל הזדמנות שכזאת ♥
on the left the stunning hat Balenciage designed in 1967 inspired by fishermen and the anguilla fish, on the right from Balenciaga Spring-Summer 2008 collection with Nicolas Ghesquiere as the creative director. As I mentioned on my segment on the TV show Fashion.net, Ghesquiere used so brilliantly the legacy of Balenciaga and gave his own modern futuristic edge to the breathtaking heritage of the designer and his fashion house. It's very sad that Ghesquiere will no longer create for the brand.
I hope that Alexander Wang - who is the master in creating more commercial high fashion will still manage to bring the artistic phenomenal value to this lavish brand. I'm sure though, that both Gindi TLV Fashion Week and this unbelievable exhibit will bring us high in the global fashion "ladder" and we here ought to climb and celebrate every stunning event like these ♥
